Centre Internacional de Fotografia Toni Catany

When I mentioned how amazing and unexpected this gallery was considering its location, the gallery staff agreed that it was a “surprise” to find in Llucmajor (a pretty small town, even for Mallorcan standards).

I have always loved this town for its beautiful Spanish houses, which you can often peek into to see the most traditional of setups -- a tiny glimpse into a loved and lived-in home.

I love Llucmajor because of its town square, its excellent Italian restaurant, and its German pharmacy.

But the gallery is what, for me, makes the town a cultural point on the map. It has woven itself into the local landscape, both celebrating and enriching it. It summarises so much of what I love about Llucmajor and Mallorca in general.

A gem of a place, with a beautiful collection and interesting exhibitions.
