Spain
I am lucky enough to visit Mallorca regularly, and over the years, I have built up a collection of recommendations. I am always looking for more, so please send them my way. I'd also love to travel around Spain further, so if you have tips — especially for the north coast — I am all ears!
Mallorca
Mallorca isn’t a huge island, but it’s not so small that you’ll get bored. There’s Palma, a wonderful city to explore the more cosmopolitan side of the island, as well as towns where you can discover local crafts and delicacies. There are also adorable villages to wander through, plus beaches where you can relax or watch the sunset over the Balearic Sea.

Getting around
Transport: There are buses operating across Mallorca, as well as lots of taxis. However, from experience, taxis can take a long time if you’re in a more remote area. I’d highly recommend renting a car if someone in your group is happy to drive, as it allows you to see the island in all its glory.
Car hire: The easiest option is to hire from one of the many car rental companies at the airport, so you can drop it off on your way back. I’ve used a few of them, and they’re all a similar price. At peak summer times, expect to queue for a while.
Safety
Spain is a safe country to travel to, and Mallorca has a particularly low crime rate for a tourist destination. I would just watch out for pickpockets in Palma and busier, touristy areas.
Cash
Most places accept card payments, but I would bring a little cash for tipping, as well as for beaches and markets.
